Northwest Early Childhood Iowa (in collaboration with Decategorization) has a planning council for each county, Cherokee, Lyon, Plymouth and Sioux. 
 
These councils exist to be a voice for their county to give input and feedback to both NECI (focusing on 0-5 year olds) and Decat (focusing on 0-18 year olds).

 
 Cherokee County Planning Council
Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of each
month.  Next meeting is February 16, 2012 @12:15pm at Plains Area Mental Health Office,
 900 North 2nd St, Suite A,  Cherokee, IA.
